ROADMAP
Where this is going.
Phase 1 is the core loop. Once that's solid, Phase 2 brings in CGM data and starts learning from what's actually happening after meals. Phase 3 is the native app and the features that depend on having enough history to be useful.
LIVEPHASE 1
The core loop
Pre-bolus voice logging, photo and voice carb capture, meal log. The basics, done properly.
Pre-bolus voice logging: log what you're about to eat minutes ahead, so you're positioned to pre-bolus yourself Voice capture: describe what you're ordering before it arrives Photo carb estimation via AI (Claude vision) Confidence score on every carb estimate Human confirmation before any carb estimate is logged Parent authorisation for teenagers: parents can approve account setup for under-18s Full meal log with timestamps Starter and Plus subscription tiers Offline-first voice queuing NZ and AU food database improvements (local foods, takeaway chains) Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora partnership: working with NZ's national health system toward formal recognition of Carbol within T1D care UP NEXTPHASE 2
CGM integration + pattern analysis
This is where it gets more useful. I want to bring in your glucose data alongside your carb estimates, and learn from what's actually happening after meals.
Smarter pre-bolus timing: learn the lead time that works for you and prompt you to log earlier LibreLink and Dexcom CGM integration: see current glucose alongside your carb estimates Post-meal BG tracking: did the estimate hold? Pattern analysis: which foods consistently spike you? Export meal + BG data as CSV for your endo Better starting point estimates calibrated to your meal history LATERPHASE 3
Native app + advanced features
A proper iOS and Android app, family accounts, and the features that need Phase 2 data to work properly.
Native iOS and Android app Pre-bolus timing reminders Family accounts: parents managing T1D kids Endo sharing: send a report directly to your healthcare team Meal tagging and custom entries for foods you eat regularly Timelines aren't published because I work on this around a day job and a T1D life. Phase 2 starts when Phase 1 is stable. If something's important to you, tell me.
